As of August 7, there are 194 listed companies on South Korea's KOSDAQ market with market capitalizations below the management classification standards, accounting for 10.6% of the 1,820 listed companies in that market; there are 41 on the KOSPI market. Since July 1, the market capitalization standard for KOSDAQ has been raised from 15 billion KRW to 20 billion KRW, and for KOSPI from 20 billion KRW to 30 billion KRW. Companies that have market capitalizations below the standard for 30 consecutive trading days will be classified as management stocks; once classified, they must recover to above the standard for 45 out of the next 90 trading days, or they will enter the delisting process. In terms of stock prices, 48 listed companies have already disclosed risks of being classified as management stocks due to their stock prices being below 1,000 KRW for 25 consecutive trading days, including 38 from the KOSDAQ market and 10 from the KOSPI market. If these companies do not have any trading days with stock prices reaching 1,000 KRW by August 12, they may be classified as management stocks starting from the next trading day.
