50 Million USDT Phishing Loss Victim Officially Files Lawsuit, Offers $1 Million White-Hat Bounty with a 2-Day Deadline
BlockBeats News, December 20th, According to on-chain researcher Specter, it was revealed that the address that lost 50 million USDT due to a phishing attack yesterday left a message to the attacker on-chain, stating that a formal case has been opened. With the assistance of law enforcement, cybersecurity agencies, and multiple blockchain protocols, a large amount of actionable intelligence has been collected on the attacker's activities. The wallet address controlled by the attacker is now under 24/7 monitoring.
The attacker has been requested to return 98% of the stolen assets to a specified address within 48 hours. If this condition is met, the attacker may keep $1 million as a white hat bounty to reward the discovery and disclosure of the vulnerability. However, this proposal is contingent upon the attacker's full and timely cooperation. Once the funds are returned, the victims will consider the matter resolved and will not take further action.
If the cooperation is refused, the case will be escalated through legal and international law enforcement channels to ascertain the attacker's identity and pursue both criminal and civil liability.
