Digital asset company Bakkt has completed the acquisition of stablecoin infrastructure company Distributed Technologies Research (DTR) through equity trading, aiming to build a 24/7 digital settlement layer.
According to the announcement, Bakkt issued over 11.3 million shares to DTR beneficiaries and may issue an additional 725,592 shares. The transaction was initially announced in January, involving 9.3 million shares at that time.
