Bedrock expands to the Aptos chain, introducing the BTCFi assets uniBTC and brBTC.

BlockBeats News, September 5th. DeFi multi-asset rehypothecation protocol Bedrock today announced its expansion to the Aptos chain. This integration will bring Bedrock's flagship BTCFi assets uniBTC and brBTC to Aptos, and provide trading and liquidity incentives on Hyperion. uniBTC and brBTC can now be bridged to Aptos via the Interport bridge, secured by the Chainlink CCIP. This will achieve seamless connectivity between Ethereum, BNB Chain, and Aptos. Upon completion of the bridging, users can immediately deploy assets into the Hyperion liquidity pool to start earning rewards.

Bedrock core contributors stated: "Through brBTC, Bedrock introduced the concept of BTCFi 2.0, expanding Bitcoin's role from a passive store of value to a productive asset across multiple ecosystems. Launching uniBTC and brBTC on Aptos is a key step in this journey, bringing secure, high-yield Bitcoin to a high-performance DeFi network."
