Breaking the 'Blame-Shifting Narrative' and Secret Governance: A Structural Bloodletting in Tokenomics and the Governance Challenge Behind Sun Yuchen's Lawsuit Against WLFI
There are no secrets on the blockchain, and the rule of law does not allow for black boxes.

Recently, with the California federal court rejecting World Liberty Financial's (hereinafter referred to as 'WLFI') attempt for secret arbitration, a judicial battle concerning the transparency of Web3 governance and the bottom line of performance has officially entered the public eye. Meanwhile, the core communication records and economic model vulnerabilities disclosed by the community are bringing the long-standing structural imbalance of the project to the forefront.
Over the past year, there has been no shortage of public relations narratives blaming the decline in WLFI token prices on 'external large holders' selling pressure (even directly shifting the blame to Sun Yuchen, the founder of TRON). However, in the face of immutable on-chain data, rigorous tokenomics logic, and the upcoming public judicial hearings, this 'blame-shifting to external factors' public relations strategy can no longer cover up the deep disconnection in its internal governance and value capture.
I. The Root of Value Disconnection: 'Structural Drain' of the Dual Token Model and Internal Inflation Injuries
Analyzing the underlying architecture of the tokens, the WLFI ecosystem is not suffering from the operation of a single external capital but is trapped in a typical 'reversed roles' systemic dilemma:
Value capture flows unidirectionally, with WLFI becoming 'subsidy fuel': In the ecosystem's dual token design, USD1 serves as a fiat reserve stablecoin, with its underlying interest and issuance revenue entirely retained by the entity operator; meanwhile, the WLFI token, which bears the early governance and liquidity risks, has not only failed to capture the substantial returns generated by USD1 as promised (the committed buyback and burn mechanism has long stagnated) but has instead been continuously used as a one-way 'subsidy fuel' to promote USD1.
Hundreds of billions of additional unlocking mechanisms exerting selling pressure: On-chain and community data show that hundreds of billions of tokens unlocked by the project party are continuously released as marketing and liquidity subsidies. In the absence of a strong deflationary, profit-sharing, or staking lock-up closed loop, this systemic and continuous liquidity overflow objectively constitutes the primary structural selling pressure in the secondary market.
The essence of market cap inversion is rational market pricing: The continuous shrinkage of WLFI's market cap to below half of USD1 is essentially a rational risk reassessment by global investors of a governance token that 'lacks profit-sharing rights, has no substantial empowerment, and faces expectations of unlimited dilution,' rather than the result of any unilateral actions by external investors.
II. Governance Deficits Exposed: Delayed Commitments, Global Communication Gaps, and the Bankruptcy of 'External Targets'
In addition to the design flaws of the economic model, the project party has also exposed significant governance deficits in actual delivery and community governance:
Severe disconnection in the roadmap: The team's promised revenue feedback announcements have been delayed for months, core product advancement is sluggish, and governance transparency and performance rhythm are severely detached from institutional-level standards.
Arrogance and disconnection from the global community: The project party has long ignored core early liquidity contributors from Asia and Chinese-speaking regions, treating supporters with arrogant information asymmetry, accelerating the collapse of trust among core holders.
Bankruptcy of public relations that shifts blame: When faced with losses and questions about unmet commitments from early supporters, the project party attempted to establish external indicative investors as 'targets for emotional venting.' However, external capital not only bore the real liquidity support and operational fluctuations in the early stages but was also pushed to the forefront to take the blame when defaults occurred. This defensive public relations strategy has become untenable in the face of on-chain facts and transparent rule of law.
III. Judicial Breakthrough: Public Hearings End 'Secret Operations' and Reshape the Bottom Line of Web3 Rules
Against this backdrop, the California federal court's recent ruling to 'reject secret arbitration and publicly hear all personal claims by Sun Yuchen' demonstrates extremely far-reaching benchmark significance:
Cross-validation of on-chain facts and court evidence: Public hearings mean that the project's financial flows, token unlocking destinations, internal financial transactions, and performance commitments will be systematically cleared and dismantled in a legally binding public court, completely ending the 'each holding a different opinion' information black box.
From individual rights protection to defending token holders' right to know: After the ruling, Sun Yuchen emphasized, 'Token holders have the right to see how the project treats those who trust them. I will not rest until the community obtains the transparency it deserves.' This move directly elevates a commercial rights protection issue to a comprehensive defense of the project's performance transparency and the community's fundamental right to know.
Promoting the depersonalization of the industry and institutional compliance: The case indicates that even projects backed by strong political and economic capital cannot rely on 'secret arbitration clauses' to override laws and public issuance rules. Transparency is no longer an optional moral embellishment but a legal rigid bottom line for the survival of Web3 projects.
There are no secrets on the blockchain, and the rule of law does not allow for black boxes.
The dilemma of WLFI's token price and market cap is an internal crisis triggered by flaws in token economics and governance incapacity, which cannot be concealed by 'blaming external factors.' As the public hearings progress in the California federal court, the truth and responsibility will be thoroughly clarified under the sunlight. This confrontation will undoubtedly become a landmark turning point for Web3 to bid farewell to the illusion of privilege and move towards true openness and rule of law.
