Global AI has secured $441 million through debt financing led by JP Morgan Chase. The funds will be used to expand AI data centers in the United States. Global AI plans to build a GPU data center called 'Sovereign AI Hyperscaler,' which will be physically separated from external networks. The air-gapped data center is a facility designed to enhance security, and Global AI intends to handle high-performance computing tasks based on NVIDIA technology. Recently, Global AI purchased a 438-acre site near Windsor, Colorado, for $15.6 million, which will be utilized for data center expansion. AI data centers are facilities equipped with large-scale computing equipment and power and cooling systems necessary for training and inference of artificial intelligence models. The high power density and cooling demands significantly impact site acquisition and power connections, affecting the speed of business operations. JP Morgan forecasts the annual funding demand for AI and data center infrastructure to be around $700 billion by 2026, with cumulative investments exceeding $5 trillion by 2030. An increase in investments in AI data centers could also influence the demand for GPUs, servers, and power and cooling equipment. Global AI plans to use the secured funds for the expansion of data centers in the U.S.
