GoPlus: November Web3 Economic Losses from Major Security Incident Reach $180 Million
BlockBeats News, December 4th, according to the GoPlus November Web3 Security Report, in November, the Web3 ecosystem experienced economic losses of $183,981,395 due to major security incidents. Among them, Balancer suffered a loss of $128 million due to an exploit, and Upbit was hacked with a loss of $36.8 million.
The security incidents included smart contract vulnerabilities, social engineering attacks, phishing attacks, fake projects, Rug Pulls, etc. Smart contract vulnerabilities accounted for losses of $175,031,395, with 15 major incidents; phishing attacks resulted in a total loss of approximately $8 million, affecting around 7,000 victims.
