Altan Tutar, Co-Founder and CEO of MoreMarkets, stated that the outlook for most Decentralized Autonomous Treasuries (DAT) companies in 2026 is bleak, with the stock prices of many large treasuries set to plummet significantly. Cryptocurrency funds focusing on meme coins will be "hit the hardest" as they cannot sustain a company valuation higher than the value of their cryptocurrency holdings. There are concerns that flagship DATs such as Ethereum, Solana, and XRP will also soon face a crisis.
Investors are turning to cryptocurrency ETFs for higher transparency, auditability, and compliance. Industry insiders suggest that DAT companies need to integrate with traditional financial infrastructure to compete effectively in the future.
