Kyiv Residents to Receive One-Time Assistance for Independence Day
Approximately 255,000 residents of Kyiv and internally displaced persons will receive one-time financial assistance in connection with the 35th anniversary of Ukraine's Independence. The amount of payments will range from 500 to 1,000 UAH, with a total of 146 million UAH allocated for assistance. Payments will be made under the city program "Care. Towards Kyiv Residents." A one-time payment of 1,000 UAH will be given to individuals with disabilities of group I, children with disabilities, caregivers of sick children, orphans, Righteous Among the Nations, rehabilitated repressed individuals, and participants in combat actions in Afghanistan. Assistance of 700 UAH will be provided to other categories of individuals with disabilities, children of deceased breadwinners, and family members of those who died in Afghanistan. Individuals who are not entitled to a pension, caregivers of people with mental disorders, those providing social services on a non-professional basis, and pensioners who have not qualified for a pension will receive 500 UAH each. Individuals fully supported by the state will not receive assistance.
