Metro-Timer App Launched for Kyiv Metro
Developer Vladislav Domotsky has introduced the iOS app 'Metro-Timer', which helps passengers of the Kyiv metro not to miss their desired station. The program tracks the journey according to the metro schedule, showing the number of stops and the time to exit. Users need to select their departure station and destination, after which the app begins a countdown to the desired station. A notification about the next stop arrives one station before the destination. The app works without a constant internet connection, using the official metro schedule. It does not require servers, advertising, or analytics; the internet is only needed for information about air alerts. The timer and stop counter continue to function even after the app is closed. 'Metro-Timer' also supports geolocation on above-ground sections of the metro and can adjust the route if necessary. The app is not affiliated with the Kyiv metro and has been downloaded over 2000 times in the first few days.
