Monad to Hold Its First Open Summit in Singapore on October 6
Prefer us on GoogleMonad will hold its first "Open Summit" in Singapore on October 6. This event will take place the day before the opening of Token2049 Singapore, gathering developers, founders, investors, and institutional representatives to share insights on the ecosystem's current status. The Monad Foundation announced that the Open Summit is scheduled to coincide with Token2049 week. Token2049 Singapore will be held from October 7 to 8 at Marina Bay Sands. This event will focus on the theme of "openness," addressing topics such as permissionless access, market infrastructure aimed at fairness and minimizing maximum extractable value (MEV), open-source development tools accessible to everyone, and a financial environment open to general users. Monad is a Layer 1 blockchain compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), designed to achieve a transaction throughput of 10,000 transactions per second, a block time of 300 milliseconds (ms), and a finality of 600 milliseconds. The ecosystem is expanding around DeFi and trading infrastructure, with key applications including Perpl, FastLane, Uniswap (UNI), Kuru, and PancakeSwap (CAKE). Monad supports approximately 200 validators and over 150 applications across more than 30 countries and regions, and the Open Summit ticket includes access to the official celebration party "Burning Mon."
