Morgan Stanley Bitcoin ETF Reaches 400 Million USD in Assets
Morgan Stanley's Bitcoin exchange-traded fund (ETF) has amassed nearly 400 million USD in assets under management since its launch in April. The NYSE Arca-listed fund, the first of its kind by a bank, attracted over 33 million USD on its first day. Currently, it holds over 391 million USD, showcasing its popularity, as many ETFs fail to reach this milestone. Bloomberg Intelligence ETF analyst Eric Balchunas noted that this fund is among the most successful launched this year. This week, investors contributed an additional 15.7 million USD to the fund, according to Farside Investors data. Morgan Stanley has been active in the crypto space for years, offering wealthy clients exposure to Bitcoin since 2021. The bank's CEO, Ted Pick, indicated ongoing collaboration with regulators to ensure safe crypto offerings. In the broader ETF market, American Bitcoin ETFs have seen a total of 274 million USD in new investments this week, despite previous outflows. Bitcoin's price is currently at 64,096 USD, down over 1% in the last 24 hours, with minimal movement over the past week. CoinShares stated that while investments in Bitcoin ETFs are returning, other factors may limit the growth of digital asset markets.
