Topline Officials in Rio de Janeiro said they thwarted a bomb plot at Lady Gaga’s concert in Copacabana on Saturday that drew a record-breaking crowd of more than 2 million people, multiple outlets reported. The attack was described as a “collective challenge” and was a way for the planners to gain “notoriety on social media,” police said, according to the Associated Press. Police received a tip about the attack plans, and subsequently carried out more than a dozen “search and seizure warrants” throughout Rio de Janeiro and other Brazilian states, Reuters reported. In April, she played two weekends at the music festival Coachella in California, and she recently had sold-out stadium shows in Mexico City.
