As of September 1, Ton (TON) has a coefficient of 35, Avalanche (AVAX) has 25, and both Solana (SOL) and Sui (SUI) are at 18. Polkadot has 600 validators and a stake of $753.5 million, utilizing a nominated proof-of-stake mechanism and on-chain governance. The Nakamoto coefficient indicates the level of decentralization of a network; a higher number means it is harder for a single entity to control the network. However, this figure is merely a reference for validator distribution and does not provide a comprehensive assessment of decentralization.
