BlockBeats News, August 23rd, AMTD IDEA Group (「AMTD IDEA Group」) (NYSE: AMTD; SGX: HKB), a company dual-listed on the New York Stock Exchange and the Singapore Stock Exchange, and a subsidiary of AMTD Group; AMTD Digital Inc. and The Generation Essentials Group (「TGE」) (NYSE: TGE), jointly announced that cryptocurrency will become an integral part of the three companies' corporate treasury "strategic reserves."
This "strategic reserve" includes bank deposits and other uncollateralized, unencumbered, liquid investments totaling approximately $240 million as of June 30, 2025. Specifically, the planned cryptocurrency investment portfolio will focus on Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and USDT.
Among the three NYSE-listed companies under the AMTD Group, TGE will be responsible for expanding and focusing on cryptocurrency-related opportunities and development. The name TGE has carried genetic significance since its inception, representing not only "The Generation Essentials" but also symbolically referring to "Token Generation Event."
