The National Assembly has passed amendments to the Electronic Securities Act and the Capital Markets Act, incorporating tokenized real-world assets and security tokens into a unified legal framework. The Bank of Korea has completed preliminary trials for the Project Hangang real-world deposit token project and plans to conduct a second phase of institutional testing by the end of 2026, with relevant technical experiments already utilizing wholesale deposit tokens to enable AI agents to execute automated conditional trading.
