S&P 500 Companies' Earnings Grow 50.4% Year-on-Year, Achieving Double-Digit Growth for Seven Consecutive Quarters

As of now, 88% of the companies in the S&P 500 index have reported their earnings, showing a year-on-year growth of 50.4%, significantly exceeding the market expectation of 23.1%. This marks the second consecutive quarter that the S&P 500 has achieved earnings growth of over 25%, and it is the seventh consecutive quarter of double-digit earnings growth. The last time the S&P 500 experienced such strong earnings growth was in the second quarter of 2021, when the U.S. economy was in the recovery phase post-pandemic, supported by over $4 trillion in fiscal stimulus.
