Tokenized Single Stock Reaches $2 Billion, Accounts for 4.7% of Real Asset Market
The tokenized single stock market has reached a size of $2 billion, accounting for 4.7% of the real asset (RWA) tokenization market. According to CryptoBriefing, as of the 25th, this market holds a significant position within the $44.6 billion RWA market. The Block reported that as of the 17th of the same month, the market capitalization of tokenized stocks was $2.8 billion, with a market share of 15%. The differences in figures appear to stem from variations in the timing of data collection and the scope of inclusion. Cointelegraph indicated that as of the 15th, the number of tokenized stock holders was 1.31 million, with a monthly transfer volume of $23.13 billion. Tokenized stocks provide exposure to the prices of actual stocks or ETFs in the form of blockchain tokens, and legal ownership may vary depending on the product structure. Robinhood and Coinbase support trading of tokenized stocks in over 120 countries, while Onchain Finance offers more than 440 tokenized stocks and ETFs. DTCC has conducted tests to convert DTC-held assets into tokens to facilitate real transactions in collaboration with over 30 institutions. Regulatory authorities emphasize the differences in the rights structure of tokenized securities, and the market structure remains imbalanced.
