trade.xyz Launches Events Market Covering Stocks, Commodities, and Pre-IPO Assets

trade.xyz has launched the Events market, integrating trading of real-world events across sports, politics, economics, and financial markets. Users can deposit spot BTC, borrow USDC, and trade perpetual contracts for Pre-IPO assets like SpaceX within the same account, utilizing event contracts to hedge against specific event risks such as earnings reports or to predict sports outcomes. The first batch of Up/Down event contracts covers stocks, commodities, and Pre-IPO assets, with liquidity and price discovery provided by the perpetual contract market on Hyperliquid HIP-3. The contracts use XYZ market prices as the basis for outcome determination, eliminating the need for external oracles. More event categories and contract types will be added in the future.
