The Director of the National Economic Council of the White House, Hassett, stated that President Trump will decide when to hold Intel (INTC.O) stock. Trump has previously expressed on social media that the U.S. needs to bring the semiconductor industry back home and has decided to assist Intel in exchange for a 10% stake. When the U.S. government made its offer, Intel was valued at approximately $100 billion, and it has now exceeded $600 billion, appreciating by over $500 billion. The U.S. government's stake now exceeds $60 billion.
