The United States Senate has postponed the vote on the Clarity Act, which aims to establish a regulatory framework for the bitcoin and cryptocurrency market. Senator John Thune confirmed that the debate on the bill will remain on hold until lawmakers return from their recess in September 2026. This delay allows legislators more time to secure the 60 votes needed to advance the initiative. However, the text faces considerable objections, including the debate over the regulation of stablecoin rewards and ethical concerns related to digital assets from President Donald Trump. Despite the political paralysis, the price of bitcoin remains stable above $64,000.
