Vitalik Refutes Claims of AI Threatening Bitcoin Security
Silicon Valley investor Liron Shapira stated that AI will undermine the security of Bitcoin, predicting that BTC prices will plummet by more than 50% within the next two years. Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin countered this by expressing an optimistic long-term view on network security, believing that Bitcoin can effectively handle issues that do not require social consensus, such as client upgrades and mining pools responding to network attacks. He pointed out that the probability of hash algorithms or proof-of-work mechanisms being compromised is extremely low, and stated that he has staked about 90% of his assets on this bet.
