Codex to Integrate Astra Model

OpenAI Codex lead Thibault Sottiaux confirmed that Codex will integrate Astra in the future. Astra is the next major model from OpenAI that has been announced but not yet released. Sottiaux did not disclose the launch date or user access details. Astra has demonstrated strong programming capabilities, and recent internal evaluations by OpenAI have found significant improvements in agent programming and cybersecurity, potentially reaching a "Critical" level of cybersecurity capability. As a result, OpenAI has suspended certain internal activities related to Astra that do not meet the new security requirements.
