Injective Announces Introduction of Native Privacy Features
Injective (INJ) has announced the upcoming introduction of native privacy features at the protocol level. This measure aims to protect information and ensure verifiability when handling institutional assets on public blockchains. Injective stated on its official X account on August 25 that this feature will be included in future updates. However, it has not disclosed whether the method will involve concealing transaction amounts, limiting the public disclosure of participant information, or implementing an auditable optional disclosure structure. On August 19, Injective announced that it secured the status of a registration agent with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). This status is responsible for managing records of security ownership and transfer histories. Injective explained that this status serves as a foundation connecting tokenized asset issuance technology with the recording and processing of security ownership and transfers. The privacy features are expected to play a crucial role in the flow where both verifiability of transactions and protection of sensitive information are required when dealing with institutional assets. According to CoinMarketCap on September 7, the spot price of INJ was $5.14, with a market capitalization of $513.59 million and a 24-hour trading volume of $59.28 million. Currently, while Injective has announced the upcoming native privacy features, specific designs and timelines have not been disclosed.
