Ondo Finance Unveils Ondo Network; Off-Chain Transaction Processing

Ondo Finance has announced the launch of the Ondo Network, which serves as an infrastructure for processing transactions outside of public blockchains. This strategic shift towards a hybrid architecture aims to enhance speed and efficiency. The network will be utilized on the Ondo Perps perpetual contract trading platform, where transactions are conducted off-chain, while the final recording of asset transfers occurs on public blockchains. In this model, the transaction execution software runs in isolated and secure computing environments, known as trusted execution environments. These environments are monitored by a group of operators to ensure that no changes are made to the code. The Ondo Network is considered a continuation of Ondo Chain, which was introduced in 2025. The project has stated that the number of operators may increase in the future, and a larger portion of activities may be recorded on public blockchains. No specific timeline has been announced for the implementation of these plans. The introduction of the Ondo Network indicates that the project is seeking to develop an infrastructure that conducts part of its processing off-chain while leveraging the security of public blockchains for the final recording of transactions.
