SpaceX stock is getting fresh attention after CNBC reported on August 7, 2026 that Mach33 Financial Group sees SpaceX potentially being worth tens of trillions in the 2030s. That is an extraordinary claim, even by growth-stock standards. It also matters because SpaceX stock has long traded with scarcity, high expectations, and limited public access in different parts of 2026. This article breaks down what the Mach33 view actually implies, why SpaceX stock keeps attracting such ambitious forecasts, and what would need to go right across Starlink, AI infrastructure, and Starship for that kind of market cap to become more than a headline.

    At a Glance

    • Mach33’s forecast, as cited by CNBC, points to SpaceX being worth “tens of trillions” in the 2030s, not just a few trillion.
    • That outcome would likely require Starlink to become a massive global connectivity platform, not simply a premium satellite broadband service.
    • SpaceX’s AI segment adds a new valuation layer that did not exist when investors viewed the company mainly as a launch business.
    • Starship commercialization is the hardest variable to model, but it may have the biggest long-term upside if entirely new markets form around it.
    • The forecast is useful as a framework for scenario analysis, even if the exact number never materializes.

What Mach33 Financial Group Actually Said About SpaceX's 2030s Valuation

The key point is simple: Mach33 did not frame SpaceX as merely another large-cap industrial or tech stock. According to CNBC’s August 7, 2026 coverage, the firm argued that SpaceX could be worth tens of trillions in the 2030s. That phrase matters. It means a range above $10 trillion and potentially far higher, putting the company well beyond the scale of today’s biggest public companies.

That is why this forecast stands out. It is not a routine bullish price target. It is a long-duration thesis that treats SpaceX as a platform business spanning multiple sectors at once: launch, satellite internet, AI infrastructure, and eventually space-based commerce. For investors used to thinking in terms of trading volume, market cap expansion, and sector multiples, the real takeaway is that Mach33 is valuing future market creation, not just current revenue.

There is also an important caution here. The broader information environment around SpaceX stock has been inconsistent in 2026. Some materials in the provided research still describe SpaceX as private and mainly accessible through secondary marketplaces such as Forge, Hiive, and EquityZen, often with accredited-investor requirements and high minimums. Other materials describe a completed IPO and public trading. Because the source set contains those contradictions, it is safer to focus this article on the valuation logic behind the forecast rather than making definitive claims about current purchase access.

What Would Have to Be True for a Multi-Trillion Dollar SpaceX to Exist

For SpaceX stock to justify a valuation in the tens of trillions, the company would need to become more than the leading space business. It would need to dominate at least one giant global market and establish meaningful positions in others. In plain terms, SpaceX would have to look less like a specialized aerospace company and more like a combined telecom, cloud, AI, and logistics giant.

That usually requires three things. First, revenue must scale into categories large enough to support mega-cap valuation models. Second, margins must improve enough that the market believes those revenues can convert into durable cash flow. Third, the business needs a moat that competitors cannot easily copy. In crypto terms, this is similar to asking whether a protocol has enough network effects, liquidity depth, and tokenomics discipline to defend its valuation after the hype fades.

SpaceX already has one piece of that puzzle: scarcity and narrative strength. But narrative alone does not sustain a multi-trillion market cap. The company would need real operating proof across all three segments cited in Yahoo Finance materials: Space, Connectivity, and AI.

The Starlink Global Internet Thesis That Drives the Largest Part of the Bull Case

If there is one part of the SpaceX stock story that can plausibly carry the largest share of the bull case, it is Starlink. The reason is scale. Launch is important, but launch by itself is usually a lower-multiple business. Global internet access is different. If Starlink becomes a mainstream connectivity layer, its addressable market expands far beyond rural broadband and enterprise backup service.

The event materials state that Starlink has around 12 million users and targets global satellite internet. That already makes it one of the most important commercial assets inside SpaceX. The truly aggressive thesis goes further: Starlink would need to evolve into infrastructure used by households, businesses, governments, mobility networks, and underserved regions at massive scale.

This is where the Mach33 idea starts to make sense on paper. A company serving global connectivity can attract premium valuation multiples if investors see recurring revenue, sticky subscriptions, and network effects. Think of it like a Web3 network whose circulating supply is less important than user retention and daily utility. If Starlink becomes the default internet layer in large parts of the world, the revenue base could look more like a global platform than a niche telecom product.

Still, there are hard limits. Satellite internet must compete on price, speed, regulation, spectrum, and local market acceptance. It is one thing to add users quickly; it is another to become the primary internet backbone for hundreds of millions or more. That is the difference between a strong business and a tens-of-trillions business.

The AI Infrastructure Business That Did Not Exist When SpaceX Was Private

The biggest new variable in the SpaceX stock debate is AI. The event materials note that SpaceX’s AI business generated Q2 revenue of $2.56 billion, up 247% year over year. They also reference projects such as Colossus and Terafab, including a plan tied to 100 million square feet of AI factory capacity. Whether every part of that vision scales is uncertain, but the direction is clear: investors are no longer valuing SpaceX only as rockets plus satellite broadband.

This matters because AI infrastructure often receives much richer valuation treatment than launch services. Markets tend to reward businesses tied to compute, model deployment, and platform ecosystems when growth is fast and future demand appears durable. That can create the same kind of valuation expansion crypto investors see when a blockchain ecosystem grows from a simple token to a full stack with DeFi, staking, developer activity, and liquidity layers.

There is a risk, though. Aswath Damodaran’s post-prospectus analysis, cited in the research, warned that the story becomes bigger but also more volatile, especially if the company overestimates the AI opportunity. That is a fair concern. High-growth AI revenue can support a premium market cap, but only if it proves durable and profitable enough to justify the spending behind it.

The Starship Commercial Timeline That Could Define the 2030s Story

Starship is the least predictable part of the thesis and arguably the most important. SpaceX’s official vision for Starship includes deep-space exploration and the long-term possibility of Mars transport. Investors do not need Mars colonization to happen for Starship to matter, but they do need commercialization to move from concept to cash flow.

If Starship sharply lowers launch costs and expands payload economics, it could support entirely new industries. More satellites, larger orbital infrastructure, in-space manufacturing, deep-space missions, and new logistics models all become more realistic when transport costs fall enough. In equity terms, that could open new revenue lines that do not exist in current spreadsheets.

This is similar to pricing an early blockchain ecosystem before major applications have launched. The market often assigns optionality value first and waits for usage later. That can work, but it also creates risk. If Starship timelines slip or commercial demand arrives slower than expected, a big chunk of long-term upside stays theoretical.

What History Says About Companies That Reached Tens of Trillions in Market Cap

History offers a useful reminder: the biggest companies often looked overpriced before they grew into their scale. Apple, Microsoft, Nvidia, and Amazon each reached valuation levels that once seemed unrealistic. That does not prove Mach33 is right, but it shows why investors should avoid dismissing large forecasts just because they sound uncomfortable.

At the same time, reaching the very top of global market-cap rankings is different from leaping into an entirely new tier. A company worth tens of trillions would not just be successful. It would likely need to reshape several industries at once. That is a much higher bar than becoming the most valuable firm in one sector.

DriverWhy It Matters for SpaceX StockMain Risk
StarlinkRecurring connectivity revenue at global scaleCompetition, regulation, pricing pressure
AIHigher valuation multiples and faster growth narrativeHeavy capex, uncertain long-term profitability
StarshipCould create entirely new marketsExecution delays and unclear demand timing
Launch businessCore operational base and strategic moatLower multiple than software-like segments

Why the Forecast Is Useful Even if the Number Proves Wrong

Forecasts like this are not valuable because they predict the future with precision. They are valuable because they force investors to identify the conditions behind extreme upside. For SpaceX stock, that means asking better questions. Does Starlink become a worldwide utility? Can AI grow into a top-tier infrastructure business? Does Starship move from engineering achievement to economic engine?

That is also the healthiest way to read very large valuation targets in any market, including crypto. When traders see ambitious token price models, the serious work is not reacting to the number. It is checking the assumptions: market share, liquidity, unlock schedule, capital intensity, competitive moat, and actual user adoption. The same discipline applies here.

Mach33’s forecast should be treated as a scenario, not a promise. But it is a scenario built around real business lines that are already visible, not pure fantasy. That alone makes it worth analyzing carefully.

For long-term investors, the real signal is not whether SpaceX stock reaches tens of trillions exactly. It is whether the company keeps proving that it belongs in larger and larger valuation categories. If Starlink, AI, and Starship all compound at once, the ceiling rises fast. If even one of those pillars weakens, the valuation story changes just as quickly.
